On 14 January 2026, SwissCham Asia’s Bhutan Committee had the honour to welcome H.E. Ambassador Tshering Lhadn, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the United Nations Office in Geneva, together with Counsellor Mr. Passang Dorji, at SwissCham ASIA’s headquarters in Zurich.

Our meeting provided an excellent opportunity to review and consolidate past collaboration—including chamber-led business engagement with Bhutan and the communication bridges built between stakeholders in Switzerland and Bhutan.


Ambassador Tshering Lhadn also shared valuable updates on Bhutan’s latest strategic developments, including:



- Bhutan’s new FDI policy direction


- National milestones and ambitions toward 2028 and 2050



SwissCham ASIA looks forward to continuing this dialogue and translating it into concrete, long-term cooperation between Bhutan and Switzerland—bringing together diplomacy, business, innovation, and values-driven development.
