SwissCham ASIA Strengthens Dialogue with Uzbekistan on Europe–Central Asia Collaboration

Freiburg, Germany — 15 May 2026 — On the invitation of the Uzbek Consular Office in Frankfurt, SwissCham ASIA President Dr. iur. Urs Lustenberger met today in Freiburg, Germany, with representatives of the Uzbek Consular Team for German-speaking countries, Dr. Raupov Miranshokh and Mr. Bekhzod Abdullaev, for a constructive exchange on future collaboration between SwissCham ASIA and Uzbekistan.

The meeting focused on opportunities to deepen cooperation across business, education, talent development, and regional collaboration, with particular attention to the growing bridge between Europe and the Central Asia region.

This dialogue signifies a further step toward more fruitful and practical projects between European partners and Central Asian stakeholders, especially in areas such as entrepreneurship, vocational and executive education, innovation, investment networks, institutional exchange, and regional development.

As Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its international engagement, SwissCham ASIA sees strong potential to support meaningful connections between Switzerland, Europe, and Asia through trust-based platforms, strategic dialogue, and concrete cooperation initiatives.

Dr. Lustenberger emphasized SwissCham ASIA’s commitment to serving as a practical platform for dialogue and cooperation between Switzerland and Asia. The discussion also explored possible formats for future engagement, including business roundtables, educational cooperation, delegation exchanges, and regional partnership initiatives.

This meeting marks another important step in SwissCham ASIA’s broader mission to connect Switzerland and Europe with dynamic Asian and Central Asian markets, while supporting long-term, credible, and mutually beneficial regional collaboration.
