SwissCham ASIA, Singularity Academy AG and DaNang City Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Switzerland–Vietnam Cooperation

ZURICH, 4 June 2026 — SwissCham ASIA today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singularity Academy AG and the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, establishing a framework to promote investment, innovation, education, and trade between Da Nang and Switzerland.
Signed at SwissCham ASIA’s offices in Zurich, the agreement creates a long-term platform for cooperation across some of the most strategic sectors in the Switzerland– Vietnam relationship — from smart cities and financial technology to healthcare, research, and talent development.
A bridge between Da Nang (Viet Nam) and Switzerland
Under the MoU, the three parties will work together to connect Swiss and Vietnamese partners, enterprises, and investors, and to promote Da Nang’s investment and business environment through forums, conferences, business delegations, and joint working programmes.
A central feature of the agreement is the parties’ intention to explore a dedicated Da Nang–Switzerland Investment Cooperation Office — a “Da Nang Desk” — within SwissCham Asia, designed to serve as a single window for connectivity, cooperation activities, and annual joint work plans. As part of the framework, the Executive Agency of the Viet Nam International Financial Center in Da Nang (VIFC-DN) will also consider membership in SwissCham Asia.
Priority areas of cooperation
The parties have identified a focused set of priorities for the coming period, including:
Innovation and smart cities, supporting Da Nang’s emergence as a regional innovation hub
The International Financial Center of Viet Nam in Da Nang, covering legal and
institutional frameworks, FinTech, green finance, sustainable development, anddispute resolution.
Healthcare and life sciences, including advanced pharmaceutical, cellular biotechnology, and clinical research, alongside medical tourism
The pharmaceutical industry related to Ngoc Linh ginseng, one of Viet Nam’s
most distinctive natural assets
Training and human resource development, building capacity in leadership,
management, digital transformation, and new technologies

For Da Nang City, the Office of the People’s Committee will serve as the focal agency coordinating implementation, with the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency acting as the city’s contact point.
